i realize that there is a whole site for commentary on the strip, but since this is the forum for that website, it seems fitting to have a thread specifically for the comic strip

Some guy sent me a bunch of pre-Amazing Spider-Blog strips. I should do something with them.

Because less than half the people who get the weekday strip get the Sunday strip. It has to be filler or recap or something easily recappable on Monday.

here's an idea. get rid of it then. if not many people get it, they need to just stop with it. it would save them money.

Or they could just run a completely seperate arc for the sunday strip, it would interest more readers and thats the general idea of stories, get readers.

so now(or is it then? i hate flashbacks) Electro can't pay his electric bill. i thought he worked for the electric company, couldn't they just deduct it from his paycheck? and wouldn't he get reduced rated, being an employee of the company?

stupid logic, getting in the way of enjoying comic strips.

this is probably what drove him to a life of crime, or some such nonsense.

and if he was a criminal, why does he still have a son?

so apparently they didn't really go back in time when they did the reboot. it seems they just made peter and mj not married. and peter is poor again and lives with aunt may.

so why did they have to do this again? besides that it happened in the book i mean.

Probably a business move more than a creative writing move. Spice it up and make it like a restart so more people can follow the new continuity. They most likely needed readership and found that new readers found the old continuity cumbersome to catch up on. If they just restart they can have new readership that catches up along the way as it happens.

i guess that makes sense. it seems like they could have made it more interesting if they were trying to get more readers.

all they've done is have the same boring story only now peter's not married.

Theres a lot of things these people could do to make the stories more interesting, but readership will always be diverse. I would like something with darker more contrived villians. They don't have to be mass murderers with elaborate plans or anything but maybe some moreepic arcs or random villians. Simon Crandis? Really? They like to telegraph their moves.
