i don't know if they were trying to make that seem incredibly stupid or not, but it seems incredibly stupid. and Sparky's right, that animation is straight from 1997. and it's not even good animation from 1997.

I'm hoping the writing is excellent as well since this BBC show will hit our shores in time. I am a little afraid that if they go for a sloppy 'video game' animation look then they will go for sloppy writing as well. Too bad. I love Doctor Who and think they should have thrown a few more coins at the animators instead of going for what appears to be the 'low bid'.

I watched it. It is the most aggressively depressing episode of Doctor Who I have ever seen. It may very well be the most depressing episode of anything I've seen, and that includes the episode of Futurama with the dog and this one episode of Sliders where they get home, only they don't realize it's home, so they slide away.
